Overview of Role
- The Settlements Intern will be part of a team that provides trade support to our Oil Trading team based in Singapore. Reporting to the Settlements Manager – APAC, he/she will gain hands on experience and learn the mechanics of how settlement team handle shipping documentation and monitor receivables/payments, as well as master the basic knowledge of incoterms.
- Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and draft invoices
- Assist in daily cash flow updates, trade related accounts payable (AP)
- Follow up on cargo related documentation
- Process incoming invoices and monitor payment status
- Letter of Credit related documentation
- Assist with spreadsheet updates
- Input or update information into trading system
- Filing/ Document Management
- Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by your manager
Profile
- The individual should have the following experience:
- High accuracy of data input
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure in dynamic environment
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
- Self-motivated individual and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Applicants need to commit to the standard 5 days work week throughout the entire 6 months internship period.
